I walked in at noon on a Saturday, my first mistake I assume from the nasty and judgemental look I received, along with a delayed "What you need?". I politely responded that I needed my gels filled. I sat and waited, for over an hour. Before I was helped, two little girls who came in with their mother after me, got their pedicures.
These people are very knowledgeable about nails and skin! They are very friendly and did a beautiful job ! I will recommend them to everyone I know and will definitely be coming back!
Now is the fun part. He pulls out a powder and liquid. I stare, absolutely dumbfounded. Not only have my nails been mutilated, but this is one of those salons that uses acrylic and passes it off as gel because its a different color. I had heard of these places but didn't think they actually existed! I again mention I have Gel nails, not acrylics. Both manicurists stop and look at each other for a moment before one begins telling me that "Liquid Gel isn't used anymore. I haven't seen it in 30 years. This is powder Gel." Gel is Gel, that is why they are called UV GEL NAILS. Not only that, but to set them, they use a regular lamp instead of the blue UV light.
I let him do it, I don't have an option at this point with my cut, mutilated and sore nails. After he applied the powder, he files the top. He files them to thin, on top of and under my nail, I can almost bend them. My natural nails were thicker than this.
I can't watch the rest of the time. I'm just boiling in anger. After paying and leaving I look. They're thin and narrow. They're filed into my red and sore quick. Three as so crooked a blind man could see it.
I love love love this nail salon! Best nail salon around! Been a happy customer for years! The owner always make sure you'll leave there happy. My whole family gives this nail salon their business. Highly recommend!!!!
Where do I even start? I only went here because my hair dresser told me they do a good job. I'm new to town and I'm trying to find somewhere I can get my Gel nails filled every 2-3 weeks. I've had Gels for over two years now, and I have had them done at more than one salon in my area.
I was already annoyed at having to wait an hour, without being acknowledged, that I was struggling to make polite conversation with a completely disinterested manicurist. I reminded him I had liquid Gel nails before he began.
Great service and friendly workers who get 2 know there customers
After filing off the top part of my nails, I asked if he could shorten them too. Aren't they supposed to ask? He grabbed large toenail sized clippers and snipped off the top and sides of my HARD GEL NAILS. I don't know if this is common place, but never in my time having acrylics or gels has this happened to me. I could hear the nail crack and feel it pull from my natural nail.
Two hours later: my nail beds, quicks and fingers are in sharp pain. I cant even run my fingers through my hair. I'm scared I got something, since I didn't see anyone clean the tools.
It's a shameI had to come out here to get the best nail service in the Carolinas. This is after 2 weeks
He began to file and to my horror, he had cut them so much that now my long, wide nails, were narrower than my actual nail bed. Realizing he had done this he inspected them and began to file deep into the quick of my nails on the sides. Yeah, this didn't feel great. He asked "is this okay?" and out of extreme frustration I told him to just continue. It was unfixable and they would grow out quickly. Then I saw that ALL my nails were like this.
