The. Best. Library. It's gorgeous, children's section right away when you walk in allows kids to feel super welcome. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of things for kids to play with - puppets, puzzles, crayons, train table, tablets, giant stuffed animals and more. Great programming for adults and kids alike.
Best library I've ever been to in a very cool town. Sylvia is small, so they are discerning on their book selection, but the library more than makes up for it with classic small-town style. The library is a beautiful white, with flowers our front, and rocking chairs on a balcony just outside of the library. This gives you a wonderful view of the smokey mountains while enjoying a book. This is probably the coolest building in Sylva. This library/town hall made me want to move to this town.
I get filled with joy every time I go! If you have the chance I definitely recommend at least stopping by and look around.
This is my favorite library. It's welcoming, great for kids, and has the best view of adorable downtown Sylva. I would spend a lot of time here if I lived nearby. Also, maybe a strange thing to point out, but they have really cool vintage bathrooms. Seriously, I kind of just wanted to hang out in there.
